"This is an interesting restaurant. When I was looking around, some bossy waitress requested that I take seat. When I mentioned that I am interested in deep fried fish, she led me to some aquarium and suggested that I select one. A bit confused, I picked up a grouper. It was quickly caught, weighted alive, and I got the price. Than, I found a table and soon got my fried grouper. It tsted good."

"Friendly staff who takes order, brings us to select fresh prawns and crab, serves food and clears plates very fast. Nothing to complain about with RM280/kg for mud crab and large prawns alike. Other dishes are fixed price. Like the way we can add lemon into coconut water to make it more zesty."

"Excellent food, highly recomended! The butter tiger prawn are a must have. Fresh oysters with chilly garlic sauce where amazing. Squid in sweet spicy sauce also excellent. Also had rice and soup, both very good. Came down to around 63 us dollars, we ate a lot! Excellent price-quality."

"The driver who collected us from the airport, recommended this restaurant and he was not wrong. What a brilliant restaurant for fresh fish and seafood. We selected prawns and a snapper, which we had to go and select ourselves. The snapper was steamed with ginger sauce. The prawns were deep fried in a chili sauce. Both tasted delicious and so fresh. The restaurant was packed just to prove how popular it is with tourists plus locals. The place is not cheap compared to other restaurants a few mins away. But the seafood plus fish selection and freshness is unbeatable."

"Newly renovated, clean, great vibes, fresh live seafood to select. Live band added the mood to stay longer at the restaurants. Cut fruits in boxes to select. Food is served hot and fresh. All dishes are palatable. Tiger prawns with butter milk taste excellent better than any five star hotel, red snapper with thai chili melts in mouth, vegs are cooked well and salted egg squid is cooked to be crispy and not too oily. Drinks apple asam boi and coconut are great. Toilets are clean and anytime look like a five star hotel. We had about the same dishes at Kapal Layar last nite and I would rate the food Zero & Orkid 5/5. That is how vast the difference in taste as a normal foodie. I was so disappointed with Langkawi’s food in Ombak Villa & Kapal Layar that I thought I should just fly back that very night! O well, I made a great decision to stay back to try other what else Langkawi has to offer. Love it so far… great vibes, outdoor seating, wine room, a bar and great water features,"

"Magnificent seafood dinner to celebrate our last evening in Langkawi. Freshest seafood I have eaten in a long time. Large oysters, tiger prawns, squid with glass noodle salad, seafood fried rice topped off with a cold beer starter and negroni plus pina colada for my wife. We wish we had come sooner as we would be a repeat customer. Live music, temp controlled wine cellar. Highly recommended to visit at least once for your stay. Not cheap by Langkawi standards however extremely cheap by Australian standard for the quality and service. PS toilets are 6 stars."
